Happy Thanksgiving

Image Credit

I have not been around much lately in blogger land, but all is good and I have so many things to be thankful for. One of which is I will be getting married in December to a wonderful Christian woman I have been seeing for the last couple years. I am so thankful the Lord has blessed me with this relationship.  Here in the USA tomorrow (Thursday November 24) is Thanksgiving, yet for all of us Christians, everyday should be a day of giving thanks to God for all He has done for us. He has given us eternal life and “supplies all of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians4:19) He leads and directs our paths and heals our broken hearts. He is always there to comfort us and gives us strength in the time of need. He is our Prince of Peace and anoints our heads with oil. Our cup runs over. The list goes on and on, let us all remember to lift up our thanks to God, not just on Thanksgiving, but every day.

16 Rejoice always,

17 pray without ceasing,

18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (I Thessalonians 5: 16-18)

(Psalm 23)

1 The LORD is my shepherd;
         I shall not want.
 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
         He leads me beside the still waters.
 3 He restores my soul;
         He leads me in the paths of righteousness
         For His name’s sake.

 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
         I will fear no evil;
         For You are with me;
         Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
         You anoint my head with oil;
         My cup runs over.
 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
         All the days of my life;
         And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
         Forever.

I wish to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and may the Lord bless each and everyone of you.

    Although I rejoice in Thanksgiving day for the extra special thanks that we all have in our hearts, you are right; every single second in my life I have something to be thankful for, and I want the feeling of "Thanksgiving" in my heart throughout the year; it doesn't only come in November.

    Blessings and joy for a wonderful Thanksgiving day!

  12. Hi Ken my brother in Christ and friend. Just reading this has brought me to tears, for I am so happy for you!!!

    You'll be able to see if you go to my Humble Path blog that my profile name has changed. And if you decide to stop by my other blog, there has been a huge change there as well.

    I'm trying to be as obedient to our God as I can, even though I'm this imperfect person that I am.

    God's blessings to you and yours!

    From your brother in Christ and friend,

  13. Congratulations Ken...that's wonderful news. May Christ be the center of your marriage.

    Hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day.

    As Christians, everyday we should be giving thanks and praise to God.

    I keep encountering the 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 scripture, starting with last week at church. I do believe that the Lord is reinforcing that point with me.

    Thank you for sharing your good news Ken...you have much to give thanks for.

    Blessings in Christ...Susan
